President William Ruto and several Cabinet Secretaries have made a series of appointments and re-appointments to boards and councils of State agencies.
These were made through gazette notices dated September 4, 2026, with most of the new terms taking effect during the month.
They cover institutions in the technology, education, agriculture, energy, labour, water, and enterprise sectors.
Among the changes, Ruto appointed Henry Gichuhi Kinyua as the Non-Executive Chairperson of the Coffee Board of Kenya for a three-year term effective September 4, 2026.
The President also re-appointed Dr Geoffrey Mutai as the Non-Executive Chairperson of the Kenya Tsetse and Trypanosomiasis Eradication Council for another three years, effective September 9, 2026.
